I’ve been practicing Both/And so much these days. While I gave up commercial television and corporate news when I left the US, I occasionally peek at the New York Times headlines. Most of what I’m seeing in the world comes from TikTok creators. And the clips of climate chaos have shaken me.
As you may know, I’ve gone through 4 hurricanes in 3 years. Two in Nicaragua, Eta and Iota, two weeks apart. And two within the first 6 weeks of living in Oaxaca, Agatha and Bonnie, a month apart.
So, when I started seeing extreme weather in Mexico City where hail the size of cantelopes fell, about 285 miles north of me recently, my nervous system started tilting.
The unfathomable flooding that has been happening in Pakistan is heart-breaking. It’s hard to imagine more people than the population of California have been displaced. And there may be a new, permanent sea forming in the country.
I am relatively safe now. And I know that could change. I’m grateful I went through CERT training to prepare myself for these conditions. And the climate chaos is so extreme, so powerful, that in the moment, all we can do is seek shelter until Earth stops shuddering and sobbing.
Remember all of this climate chaos is colonizer-made. The solution is coming together in collective to rid our culture of white supremacy culture that values individualism.
This is why all of my offerings are done in collective now. We cannot innovate new ways of being alone. It must be done in collective. Many white people have been utterly cutoff from collective work. They do not understand what this means insofar-as relationships go.
And to decolonize and repair our relationships with Time, Place Cosmos, to ease up the thermometer of Earth, we must re-earn how to come together and create new ways of being in collective. The colonial ways have brought us to where we are today. This must end before we — and the planet as we love it — are ended.

Decolonizing AI
Don’t the AI creations on TikTok, DALL-E and MidJourney just blow your mind? Many Indigenous folks have been adding our twists to the space, feeding the AI decolonial prompts, tribe and first nations names, and other inspired creations.
I’ve been working on a collaboration with MidJourney AI to create astrological art for the blockchain The project is called Mystic Degrees: Degree Symbols Retold through AI and Indigenous Cosmovision.
To celebrate this collaboration, I’ve created a new logo for Dragon Letters (shown left, top). It’s titled from prompts I gave the AI: Green dragon curled in a spiral, a pile of love letters, three gold coins, in a giant bird’s nest, Mayan styled.
My collaborative creations are covered under the same Creative Commons license as all my work. Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (i.e. don’t steal it to use for commercial purposes).
Degree symbols have been channeled by mystics for centuries. It’s a way of glimpsing into the energy related to that point in the ecliptic.
Here’s a peek below at my Sun degree in the Chandra symbol, titled: Chandra Symbol, Sagittarius 27, Siamese twins talking to each other, Frida Kahlo styled.
