Rest Revolt and Boundless Vision
For those that know my work and looking for ways to delve deeper into shifting your relationship with Time, I’m inviting you to the Rest Revolt (un)work and Boundless Vision Retreat begins 9/10 with the retreat on 9/18.
The Retreat disrupts this Edgewalkers Dilemma: How do we make miracles and get epic shit done without reproducing systems of brutal productivity on ourselves or our people?
The Rest Revolt is a way to dust off your shine
We’ll KonMari your senses of Time/Space/Place. One part declutter to let go of cognitive load, one part digital detox for nervous system rest, one part dopamine do over to prepare your sense for connecting in to your focus for the next 90 days. Because “on the other side of rest is Flow.”
Start with Dreaming in the WildGround the (un)learning of systems of brutal productivity through relating with Time. Getting relational deprograms the “dominance over” mindset, creating space for our senses, so we actually sense what our needs are. Rest is radical.
Walk Away With* A Shift in Relationship to Time* A Digital Detox to Clear Brain Fog* Expanding Your Capacity to Vision
Time magic for centered focusThe world’s to-do list is very long. And we are le tired. We will identify the systems and structures that are holding you back so we can Liberate your Flow with more focus and increased creativity for your most important work.
Walk Away With* Grounding in Systemic Oppressions* Flow Cycle Strategies* The Recipe for Presence + Passion
Boundless Vision Anumi (animated purpose)You’ll learn how to decolonize Time by putting self and community care needs in right relationship with the Cosmos. We’ll create a plan for daily, weekly, and seasonal Rituals for dropping into Joy and Flow tailored to your life.
Walk Away With* A consistent, daily Flow practice* More capacity for these times.* Cyclic ways to nurture body + soul
And we’ll continue to hold space for each in a Mighty Network collective for 90 days.
There’s a time-sensitive element, when folks join this week: the workshop mini-course and extra Q&A Love Light sesh happening on the new moon this Monday. To learn more, share the link, and secure a spot visit https://retreat.ixchel.love/

This book has chapters for cultures around the world, diving in to each continent’s cultural history of queering spirituality.
Of course, I skipped to the section on Latin America, which led to some interesting discoveries about how the Mexica (aka Aztecs, a colonizer name) treated other Indigenous cultures.
The Mexica definitely held some hyper-masc values compared to their cousins the Mayans and Incas. Same-sex everything was banned because of how it made men weak. Yikes.
Sheds a whole new light on machismo and homophobia in my Latino culture growing up closeted. I have huge respect for my cousins that were our and proud in late 70s.
Book Recommendation
Queer Magic: LGBT+ Spirituality and Culture from Around the World
During the Ignite YTT 300hr Retreat over the weekend we received a queering of Yoga’s roots from Anjali Kamath Rao in her presentation “Decolonizing Gender.”
In the presentation we learned the ways in which gender in yogic teachings has been westernized, including the binary of gender. There is so much unknown ways of being that colonization steals from us.
In our lively chat, I mentioned Muxe people of Oaxaca, Mexico, as I’ve been looking for Indigenous terms for intersex and genderqueer in Latin culture, the way First Nations of North America have the term two spirit. Out of the chat popped this Queer Magic book recommendation from a cohort leader.

A Course From Báyò Akómoláfé
We Will Dance with Mountains: Into the Cracks!
“Do not pray exclusively to the ancestors of the land; make room also for the spirits of the fault line, the new gods that scream through cracks with the first musical notes of worlds to come.”
“Modernity is the muting of nature. It’s the muting of the world so that we are speaking with ourselves. When we are in a different trope, we will find the world speaking to us other things. We will know how to listen in different ways. Our work is to lose our way.”
If you’re ready to lose your way… Run, don’t walk! Course applications close September 3rd.

I invite you to a (free) brave collective space we’ve created in Mighty Network.
I’ve also added a premium access Dragon Letters Library for $5/mo that will include all my past Dragon Letters, a monthly Office Hours sesh, as well as fun merch I’ll be creating (including a special gift to annual subscribers).
An Invitation to the Time Collective
Based on some really problematic new algorithms on IG (shadowbanning and deplatforming BIPOC doing anti-racism and decolonizing work) I’m going to be on IG less and less. I’ve experienced having my content suppressed and removed as well.
And, as I’ve been cultivating relationships in various enriching spaces on Mighty Network, I just feel vastly better about how I’m relating to Time and tech as I navigate who I am in relation to what I’m trying to serve. And so, limiting my presence on Zuck’s platforms feels good.

Your Sanctuary to Cultivate Wild Presence for Thriving with a Planet in Transition
I was raised and bore children on the traditional, unceded, and stolen lands of the Coast and Central Valley Miwok (colonized as Petaluma, CA) and Nisenan (colonized as Sacramento and Fair Oaks, CA), past, present, and future. I also write, work, and live in the highland forest of the traditional, unceded and stolen lands of the Totonac, Nahua, and Mexicah, past, present, and future, in what is known as Coatepec, Veracruz, Mexico.
P.P.S. I do not live or consent to the colonial impositions regarding the construct of Time. I also practice honoring rhythms of work, play, and rest so that I can serve you with embodied presence and with loving care. This means I may take several days to respond to your requests and questions. (h/t Eva Glamaris)
