Self care isn’t always facials, manicures, listening to music and hiking. It’s absolutely important to do things that make you happy and feel alive but self care is also the really hard stuff that you have to do for your mental well being.

It’s ending 6 year friendships because they are toxic, it’s spending time in outpatient facing your demons instead of running for them and fighting to learn to cope, it’s going to therapy because sometimes you can’t do it alone, it’s taking your medication, it’s learning that sometimes it’s necessary to take some time off and focus on your well being, it’s asking for help which is so hard and so so brave, it’s breaking up with boyfriends, girlfriends, wives and husband because they are toxic and abusive and you don’t deserve that, no one does. It’s separating from family because sometimes the ones who are supposed to love you the most are toxic, abusive and neglective. Self care is hard but important and is strong.

Do what soothes your soul and makes your heart smile but do some of the hard stuff, the ugly stuff. You aren’t alone and you have the strength to do it. It’s hard but necessary for growth and healing. Never give up ????

2-3 Frozen Bananas
2 Cups Coconut Water
1 1/2 Cups Frozen Pineapple (chopped)
