Replay: Ritual Protection Is Not Optional in These Precarious Times

There’s too much noise. Ritual protection clears the way.

Hey Beautiful Wildlings,

If you joined us live — thank you for bringing your breath and presence.

During Ancestral Ways for Precarious Times, we began to remember that:

  • Colonial Time strips away protection

  • Not all exhaustion is yours — some of it’s inherited. Some of it’s sacred.

  • You don’t need more productivity. You need protection

Ritual protection is not a luxury. It’s a boundary.

Without ritual protection, we walk through this world raw. Overexposed.
We leak energy. We take on harm that isn’t ours.
And worst of all, we can’t hear the ones who love us — because there’s too much noise.

Ritual protection isn’t extra. It’s survival. It’s belonging.
It’s how we tell our well (and unwell) ancestors: I’m listening, but I’m not open to everything.

If what you felt today stirred something in you, you’re invited into Ancestral Wayfinding — a 4-week container beginning May 7.

We’ll walk together through:

  • Reweaving your protection rituals

  • Anchoring with plant kin, body wisdom, and seasonal rhythm

  • Making Time sacred and sovereign again

  • Hearing the well ones through the static

The rhythm is already unfolding.

Land Lineage

I was raised and bore children on the traditional, unceded, and stolen lands of the Coast and Central Valley Miwok (colonized as Petaluma, CA) and Nisenan (colonized as Sacramento and Fair Oaks, CA), past, present, and future. I also write, work, and live in the highland forest of the traditional, unceded and stolen lands of the Totonac, Nahua, and Mexicah, past, present, and future, in what is known as Coatepec, Veracruz, Mexico.

P.P.S. I do not live or consent to the colonial impositions regarding the construct of Time. I also practice honoring rhythms of work, play, and rest so that I can serve you with embodied presence and with loving care. This means I may take several days to respond to your requests and questions. (h/t Eva Glamaris)

P.P.S. A mention is not necessarily an endorsement of someone. It’s an acknowledgment, a citation, of the origin of information in my process of understanding. (h/t Kelly Diels)

Ixchel Lunar is a somatic leadership mentor guiding creative founders through leadership recalibration grounded in decolonial and relational time. They support leaders to clarify responsibility, strengthen embodied authority, and express from aligned presence as their vision expands. Their work is shaped by lived political rupture, migration, chronic illness pacing, and years of guiding high-capacity leaders and creative founders who refuse urgency as a governing force. Ixchel draws from Indigenous ecological timeways, nervous system regulation, cyclical leadership, and relational practice to help founders carry meaningful work without sacrificing themselves to it.
