Embrace your creativity and connect with ancestral wisdom this summer! 🌞✨
Hola Creative Wildlings!
As we bask in the powerful energy of the Summer Solstice, I want to share a practice that deeply connects us to the land and our ancestors. At my Apacheta, a sacred space blending ancestral work and modern rituals, I engage in solstice ceremonies that honor the elements and our connection to Earth.
For Time Weavers, I created a special video of a solstice ritual at my Apacheta, a sacred space that blends ancestral wisdom and modern practice. In this video, I walk you through my ritual involving the four directions, candles, and a deep connection to the land and ancestors. This Apacheta practice has been a powerful way for me to honor my heritage and ground myself in my creative work.

Get transformative daily creative practices and writing prompts. With our downloadable Guidebooks and insightful video training, you’ll learn to:
-
listen to your creative essence (instead of getting tossed about by emotional highs and lows),
-
decolonize your relationship with Time (instead of letting colonial time run you into the ground),
-
and nurture a deep, harmonious connection with the world around you (instead of always feeling out of center) — all in just 5 minutes a day.
In our non-stop world, taking a moment to connect with the land and our creative essence helps us get quiet so we can hear the direction we need to go next on our path back to ourselves.
Integrating these practices daily cultivates your revolutionary creativity and agency, helping you thrive on a transitioning planet.

Your Sanctuary to Cultivate Wild Presence for Thriving with a Planet in Transition
I was raised and bore children on the traditional, unceded, and stolen lands of the Coast and Central Valley Miwok (colonized as Petaluma, CA) and Nisenan (colonized as Sacramento and Fair Oaks, CA), past, present, and future. I also write, work, and live in the highland forest of the traditional, unceded and stolen lands of the Totonac, Nahua, and Mexicah, past, present, and future, in what is known as Coatepec, Veracruz, Mexico.
P.P.S. I do not live or consent to the colonial impositions regarding the construct of Time. I also practice honoring rhythms of work, play, and rest so that I can serve you with embodied presence and with loving care. This means I may take several days to respond to your requests and questions. (h/t Eva Glamaris)
