A spirit of the Earth
The smell of soil, crushed lavender, lemongrass, papaya, sweat
Two hands emerged from the foilage
Out of the green and into the pink
Exposed in the rays of sunlight
Glimmering, reflecting the designs of the cosmos
Only seen in dreams with golden eyes wide open
Familiar fingers dance
And each of us slither upwards towards the flowers
Where we bloom-
blossom into life together
in the wild roses, peonies, chamomile, and fern we meet
I was born when I met you
