Ixcacao, the Cacao Goddess walks alongside and hold hands with us during our hardest times.

Chocolate addiction holds a rough status, especially for women. In western culture it’s often used to cover difficult moments like PMS, feelings of loneliness or despair. Or as “gifts” for exchange of sex or matriarchal positions.

It’s bound up with sugar, which acts like a mask to cover the true medicine of cacao, the bean that chocolate is made from.
????
There is a deeper purpose for cacao when we shift our relationship to it and to food.
Instead of choosing to use foods and food-like substances to disconnect from what we are feeling, remaining bound to our behavioral patterns, or our old addictive emotional loops, we can connect with cacao in its strong medicinal state.

Cacao medicine creates a focused awareness and Flow.

Pure fermented cacao nibs is comprised of theobromine and cacao butter (good fat) that acts as a carrier for the theobromine (theo broma literally means food of the gods) to reach our neural network and open our blood vessels and vascular system.

Of course combining cacao with sugar into chocolate doesn’t do this with the same effect. Sugar is a known stimulator of disease because it creates inflammation in the body. “Chocolate addiction” isn’t really addiction to cacao (which studies prove isn’t an addictive substance). It’s an addiction to sugar.

The natural state of the cacao bean allows for a unique synthesis of medicine that opens the neural pathways (yes, cacao is mildly psychoactive) thereby opening our door of perception — our third eye and pineal gland.????????????‍♀️

Happy Monday Beautiful Souls ???? Low Sugar, Adaptogenic Matcha, Pomegranate, Chocolate Cups ???? These delicious cups are free from refined sugar & full of antioxidants & healthy fats, so you can eat them free of guilt. They are a great little snack to have when you need a little “pick me up”. I don’t have a microwave, so I used a double boiler to melt the chocolate & my food processor to “liquify” my coconut butter. Okay, here are the details:

Chocolate Layer (24 Cups, 1 TSP Each):
.
2 Full Bars of @eatingevolved Midnight Coconut Unsweetened Chocolate,
Stevia Powder to Taste (seriously a life saver if you want to reduce your sugar intake- you can do it!),

Line a mini muffin tin with @ifyoucare_usa unbleached mini muffin liners. Melt your chocolate & spoon 1 Tsp into each cup. Put in fridge to set.

Pomegranate Layer (24 Cups about 1.5 TSP Per Cup):
.
1 Cup Liquified/Melted @nutiva Coconut Butter,
3-4 TBS @navitasorganics Pomegranate Powder (Use more or less depending on how much flavor you want, this is where most of the sweetness comes from),
1/4 TSP @sunpotion He Shou Wu,

Combine ingredients in a food processor. Once the chocolate layer has set, divide the pomegranate mixture evenly between the 24 Cups. Return to fridge to set. .
Matcha Layer (24 Cups about 1 TSP Per Cup):
.
1/2 Cup @nutiva Liquified/Melted Coconut Butter,
1/2 TSP @zenspiritfoods Premium Culinary Grade Matcha,
1/2 TSP @sunpotion Ashitaba,
1/4 TSP @sunpotion Astragalus Powder,
Stevia Powder to Taste,

Combine ingredients in your food processor until homogenous. Divide evenly between the 24 Cups & return to fridge to set. They can be stored at room temp, but I prefer the fridge. Enjoy! .
