I have sat in the dark closet sobbing with grief and rage for what was taken from me.
I discovered the cold edge of my life force as it was ripped from my body, only to be rejected by the warm light of Eternity because it was not my time to go.
Returning again and again, I consumed the terror, hate and violence put on this tiny body and saw it transmuted into light.
Feel the rage, the pain, the fear. Then let it go. Let the darkness that has taken hold of your spirit in human form be wiped way. You are light.
Dance to re-member that you are made of stardust and love, filled with the ecstatic elixir of Cosmic light!
Re-member where you come from and shine your light into that which tried to take what is inviolate.
This moment is but a fraction, a rapid beat of Hummingbird’s heart, in the rhythm of Time’s spiral dance.
Do not be distracted by, dismembered by, or disembodied by that fleeting moment.
Harness the energy of this moment, this movement of change, to pour your Soul into your purpose.
Whatever makes your Soul happy, Do that. You are Infinite Love. Shine. •

Incredible LIDAR discovery of our ancestors land in northern Guatemala. In the late 90s I would argue with my Grad prof that the Maya were as good at astronomy as early western scientists that came to understand how the heavens worked.
I didn’t have a lot of proof. The discoveries back then were still thin. Feeling it in your bones isn’t objective (yet). But I did intuit that there was way more Mayan science that should be acknowledged than was being discussed in grad school (or any schools for that matter). So exciting to see new tech expose old tech in Snake Island (Central America). I wish my Grandma Bea had lived to get her DNA tested so she could finally learn where her indigenous roots were from.
She knew there was more to the story. She taught me from very young that I carried indigenous blood. But she didn’t know from where exactly. She wanted me to have that connection as the oldest girl. But she also felt shame in being “mixed.” It was something she struggled with that made me sad.
So many have proud heritages. They have special days to celebrate being them and honoring their ancestors. We need more of sharing traditions in meaningful ways, not for getting drunk. For seeing each other and what it took for us to exist, the stories of struggle and the times of joy and dancing.
I’m so grateful to have the internet and DNA to discover where all my family came from to come together in Northern California; Canada, Ireland, Scotland, Spain (Iberia), even Africa, French Alps, Guatemala and South America before that. So fascinating. It’s an amazing time to be alive. (Article Link in my Story)

A beautiful, kind lady, my Auntie Dora, passed yesterday. The last of a generation in our family. She and her sisters Grandma Bea and Auntie Eleanor, can dance the nights away again. ????????

Her passing and this end of an era has me grieving my Grandma again. We were so close, as she was to her sister Dora, and everyone she cared for. Their tenderness has been one of my #coredesiredfeelings this year, a lesson of embodiment that I’ve been coming to understand more fully. •
Life needs more tenderness, more loving presence, more heart awakening. I’m grateful to be a descendant of these three sisters for all they imparted to their friends and and family.

The promise of a shaman (anonymous)
If you come to me as a victim I will not support you.
But I will have the courage to walk with you through the pain that you are suffering.
I will put you in the fire, I will undress you, and I will sit you on the earth.
I will bathe you with herbs, I will purge you, and you will vomit the rage and the darkness inside you.
I’ll bang your body with good herbs, and I’ll put you to lay in the grass, face up to the sky.
Then I will blow your crown to clean the old memories that make you repeat the same behavior.
I will blow your forehead to scare away the thoughts that cloud your vision.
I will blow your throat to release the knot that won’t let you talk.
I will blow your heart to scare fear, so that it goes far away where it cannot find you.
I will blow your solar plexus to extinguish the fire of the hell you carry inside, and you will know peace.
I will blow with fire your belly to burn the attachments, and the love that was not.
I will blow away the lovers that left you, the children that never came.
I will blow your heart to make you warm, to rekindle your desire to feel, create and start again.
I will blow with force your vagina or your penis, to clean the sexual door to your soul.
I will blow away the garbage that you collected trying to love what did not wanted to be loved.
I will use the broom, and the sponge, and the rag, and safely clean all the bitterness inside you.
I will blow your hands to destroy the ties that prevent you from creating.
I will blow your feet to dust and erase the footprints memories, so you can never return to that bad place.
I will turn your body, so your face will kiss the earth.
I’ll blow your spine from the root to the neck to increase your strength and help you walk upright.
And I will let you rest.

After this you will cry, and after crying you will sleep,
And you will dream beautiful and meaningful dreams,
and when you wake up I’ll be waiting for you.
I will smile at you, and you will smile back
I will offer you food that you will eat with pleasure, tasting life, and I will thank you.
Because what I’m offering today, was offered to me before when darkness lived within me.
