[You are receiving this Dragon Letter because you signed up between Letters. Enjoy until the next one arrives…]

Hola lovely friend,

I’ve received such wonderful response to the Stellar Strategy Sessions to help with my fur babies travel costs. I’m so grateful! We’re getting closer… We hope to close the gap between when I land in Oaxaca and when our pups start their journey. Right now, it’s looking like 3-4 weeks later. 😒

Please share and join us for the #RestRevolt on May 7th.

Rest Revolt RetreatΒ

We’ll gather in a virtual sanctuary to learn how to:

❀️ create regular at-home Rest Revolts,

🧑 clearing the way for an ancestral meditation,

πŸ’› restorative yoga practices for all bodies,

πŸ’š ways to create safety in our nervous systems.

πŸ’™ All. of. This. to relate with Time as our friend.

May 7th, 9am PT, Noon ET. Register here.

In this Dragon Letter…

To prepare for the Rest Revolt, we’re revisiting some past content around exploring what we do unconsciously β€” even addictively β€” especially with technology and our love of dopamine and how this keeps us from supporting change and impact. (Warning! some truth-telling is coming….)

Stay wild, love fiercely. Your presence is golden.

Dopamine Nation

Book LoveDopamine Nation: Finding Balance in the Age of Indulgence

As you may have learned from my posts over the years, I am in recovery from (or actively modulating in the case of caffeine and social media) a number of addictions.

As I dismantle the habits of harm and replace them with daily rituals, I’ve often wondered who I am or how my identity has been defined by the more unconscious rituals.

As we do ancestral work to re-member and reclaim our heritage, we also have to discern what traditions were harmful, albeit ways of coping and surviving, to leave these ways behind.

I had the pleasure of becoming acquainted with Dr. Andrew Huberman through my Flow coaching certification in his advisory role on neurobiology with The Flow Research Collective.

Back in August of 2021, Huberman had Dr. Anna Lembke (from The Social Dilemma film) on his Podcast to discuss understanding and treating addiction.Β

Because of his in-depth understanding of Flow, he asks some great questions that are related to Flow states. Dopamine is that essential driver of all things Flow, passion and purpose…

I really appreciated Dr. Lembke’s stigma reduction around addiction and how we can apply what we know to our daily rituals. We’ll dive deeper into dopamine in the Rest Revolt. The Rest Revolt Handbook, included when you register, has many resources for protecting our dopamine.

Your Sanctuary to Cultivate Wild Presence for Thriving with a Planet in Transition

Land Lineage

I was raised and bore children on the traditional, unceded, and stolen lands of the Coast and Central Valley Miwok (colonized as Petaluma, CA) and Nisenan (colonized as Sacramento and Fair Oaks, CA), past, present, and future. I also write, work, and live in the highland forest of the traditional, unceded and stolen lands of the Totonac, Nahua, and Mexicah, past, present, and future, in what is known as Coatepec, Veracruz, Mexico.

P.P.S. I do not live or consent to the colonial impositions regarding the construct of Time. I also practice honoring rhythms of work, play, and rest so that I can serve you with embodied presence and with loving care. This means I may take several days to respond to your requests and questions. (h/t Eva Glamaris)
